Cocktails, craft beer and FUPBURGERS launched at The Harbour in Lowestoft

The Moss & Co hospitality group has teamed up with the iconic FUPBURGER company, in a joint venture to relaunch The Harbour, located next to the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club in Lowestoft.

The end of September saw the re-launch of The Harbour, purchased in spring 2021 by Moss & Co Ltd who have since refurbished and interior designed the pub to reflect the Moss & Co brand.

The Harbour joins sister venues: The Bell at Carlton Colville, The Village Maid at Lound, The Jolly Sailors at Pakefield, The Commodore at Oulton Broad, and the Angel with boutique rooms at Wangford near Southwold, as part of the Moss & Co hospitality group.

But what’s different about The Harbour, is that Moss & Co has teamed up with FUPBURGER to bring what is set to be one of the coolest venues in town, boasting a unique round bar, a huge list of craft beers to work your way through and a mixologist serving cocktails, including on trend cocktails such as the Mojito, Espresso Martini and a special ‘Harbour’ concoction, that packs a punch.

The kitchen will offer a range of quality artisan burgers from FUPBURGER, including local Norfolk prime beef, veggie and vegan burger options. Provenance and low food miles are the key ingredient to serving up fantastic burgers, whilst supporting local producers at the same time.

The Harbour is also introducing ‘The Hatch’, which will serve takeaway coffee and tea to passersby. In the close future there are plans for takeaway burgers to be available.

In addition, The Harbour also boasts an upmarket late-night venue, complete with DJ booths, dancefloor, and a flower wall. The venue will host live bands, late night entertainment. and is available for private parties that can host up to 300 people. Mossy’s was also the name of the first bar and club that owner David Moss started in Colchester 35 years ago, almost to the day.

Owner David Moss said: “In our quest for business growth we are actively looking to acquire freehold licensed premises across Norfolk and Suffolk that are looking for a quick sale. The opportunity to purchase The Harbour was too good to miss, especially given its location, the inward investment into the town and a trend that is seeing Lowestoft becoming party central in a shift away from Oulton Broad where one of our other pubs is located. We are extremely thrilled to have Tom and the guys from FUPBURGER onboard, with proper burgers that really are something special and worth experiencing”.

Tom Shiers, founder of FUPBURGER said: “Our burgers are all about the quality of ingredients from local produce, and you can taste it. We are a positive product of a global pandemic if there is such a thing? Without it I’d still be a roadie and still have to travel down to London for a decent burger! If it doesn’t make a mess, it ain’t worth eatin’!”
