The Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa has a stunning new addition to its family – The Dairy. This luxurious self-catering retreat for six is set within the town’s Grade I listed, 13th century Priory, and is a short stroll from the main hotel and its boutique spa.
History meets contemporary in the half-timbered house with its centuries-old oak beams and private courtyard garden. The decor is homely and cosy, while classic features offer a step back in time, offering an ideal hideaway for short breaks and celebrations with family or friends.
The ground floor lounge is bright and airy with plenty of windows allowing natural light to flood the room. Cosy up on the two comfy sofas in front of the wood burning stove and enjoy takeaway treats or home cooked dinners prepared in the well equipped kitchen. Double doors lead into the courtyard to sit and relax sipping a glass of wine on warmer evenings, or a morning coffee. If you want to take the night off cooking and washing up, guests are welcome to book a table in The Swan’s Gallery and Brasserie restaurants or enjoy a tipple in the Airmen’s Bar.
The Dairy has three comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, one ensuite, plus a separate bathroom with a rainfall shower and Temple Spa toiletries. The third bedroom can be made up as a double or twin. You can take the pampering one step further and book a treatment and use the facilities in Weavers’ House Spa (incurs an additional cost).
There is free parking available for one vehicle directly in front of The Dairy, and guests are also welcome to use The Swan’s two car parks including the hotel’s secure facility accessed via a code. Lavenham is a hive of activity with an abundance of boutique shops, tearooms, ice cream parlours and nooks to discover, as well as a local butcher and bakery.
Two-night minimum self-catering stays in The Dairy are from £700 for up to six sharing (£59pppn) with optional dining and spa treatments at The Swan at Lavenham Hotel. Families are welcome with children aged five plus but regret no pets.
