Afternoon tea is special at the 15th century Swan at Lavenham Hotel and Spa all year round, but add beautiful decorations, roaring open log fires and some Christmas spirit to the mix and you have the perfect festive treat full of seasonal delights.
Available from Monday, 21 November and during December, The Swan’s Festive Afternoon Tea is served course-by-course on fine bone china in either the elegant, beamed Gallery restaurant or cosy lounge.
It begins with a selection of delicate finger sandwiches including smoked salmon and cream cheese, egg mayonnaise and turkey and cranberry. Festive and plain scones follow served with clotted cream, jams and preserves plus a delicious selection of cakes including a Christmas orange yule log, apple choux bun, mincemeat frangipane tart and a white chocolate and cranberry macaroon.
The Swan’s Festive Afternoon Tea includes unlimited refills from your choice of Newby’s of London teas and infusions, you can also add a celebratory glass of sparkling Champagne for an extra treat.
- Served from 12noon until 4pm Monday to Saturday, and 2.30pm until 4pm on Sundays, the Festive Afternoon Tea is priced at £27.50 per person or £44.50 with a glass of Champagne.
