Nestled in an estate boasting 32 acres, the site has a rich history dating as far back as the Norman Conquest and there is plenty for guests to enjoy and explore, including the established woodland, landscaped gardens, luscious, rolling lawns, sweeping gravel driveway with ample parking, and sun-drenched patio. The magnificent Georgian hall was built between 1795 and 1797 and still retains many of the original features, including beautiful high ceilings with original detail, such as ceiling roses and cornicing; stunning fireplaces, many still with working fires; original columns; floor tiles; and huge sash windows with views across the lawns and gardens.
For visitors to the area or those looking for a luxury night away, the hotel features 20 en-suite bedrooms and suites. When it comes to dining, The Bistro is open Wednesday to Sunday and offers a wide selection of seasonally inspired and locally sourced dishes, as well as the Brasted’s legendary sumptuous Sunday lunch. Meanwhile, the extensive bar and whiskey lounge is always open for those looking to enjoy a cocktail on the patio or a nightcap by the roaring fire in winter. In February 2023, Caistor Hall will launch its second restaurant, MJP at Caistor, a collaboration with Michelin starred celebrity chef Mark Poynton. The new restaurant will offer tasting menus at both lunch and dinner, featuring light but flavour-driven dishes.
For private events the hall offers a choice of elegant and beautifully appointed traditional reception rooms and for larger events and weddings the stunning Pavilion marquee, with bar, large outside terrace and garden can host up to 400 guests.
