East Anglian gastropubs restaurants shine in Top 100

We know that East Anglia has the best gastropubs going, and when The Top 50 Gastropubs were announced today, we were delighted to see four from the Norfolk and Suffolk region in the Top 50, with a further seven from the whole nourish area in the Top 100. 

Voted for by top foodie and hospitality experts, this list a great reference point for those wanting the very best gastropub experience.

In second place is The Unruly Pig in Woodbridge, Suffolk. This pub consistently places highly in awards, and the list says: “Winsome and warm, Suffolk’s Unruly Pig serves filling and well-crafted pub food in an environment that reflects the personalities of the people behind the stunning menu.”

The White Horse at Brancaster, Norfolk, came in at number 34. The Head Chef there is Fran Hartstone, wife of Phil, and she utilises his amazing Staithe Smokehouse fish in many of her amazing dishes. Another regular on foodie lists is The Duck Inn, Stanhoe, in Norfolk. They came in at 40th, just ahead of Norfolk’s The Gunton Arms in 46th

70 – The Brewers, Rattlesden, Suffolk 

85 – The Brisley Bell, Norfolk

90 – The Three Hills, Bartlow, Cambridgeshire 

93 – The Sufffield Arms, Norfolk
